Measuring sky angles
In many of our posts we tell you that an object in the sky is some number of degrees or "fingers" away from another. What does that mean and how does it work? Here is a link with a nice explanation
This illustration shows the standard angle measurements for your hand stretched at arm's length.
Just remember these "rules of thumb" and you won't get lost in the sky!
